The first look of Sunny Deol’s new film Suryaa is out, showing the star in a gritty new avatar.

The full title is Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, a Hindi drama-thriller.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 20.

Suryaa is an adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam film Joseph.

Director M Padmakumar says the film is not a carbon copy and departs significantly from the original.

The makers promise audiences a never-before-seen portrayal of the veteran actor.

The intense persona sets the role apart from Deol’s action-heavy performances, the article notes.

More character posters, teasers and music are expected as the release approaches.
