Virat Kohli has joined LinkedIn and gathered more than 240,000 followers in under 24 hours.

He joined on October 13 with a post outlining his vision for Indian sport.

Kohli wants to build an end-to-end sports business from India for a global audience.

“It’s time to build something that will outlive all of us,” he wrote.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella personally welcomed him to the platform.

His profile lists him as an investor in Agilitas and co-founder of one8world.

Reports say he invested around Rs 40 crore in Agilitas for a 1.94 percent stake.

Gulf News said his followers rose from 1,501 to over 242,000 in a day.
