Agility Robotics’ Digit 5 humanoid robot will use a Nyobolt battery that recharges in just nine minutes.

A full charge gives 90 minutes of runtime, a 10-to-1 run-to-charge ratio.

That is a fivefold improvement on the 2-to-1 ratio of the previous Digit 4.

Nyobolt is Agility’s exclusive ultra-fast charging battery partner, announced October 15.

The system can keep Digit working more than 20 hours in a 24-hour day.

Charging downtime has been a key barrier to deploying humanoid robots commercially.

Warehouse and factory operators can cover more than two shifts per robot.
