Bears quarterback Caleb Williams says he has a torn hamstring, not the strain some reports claimed.

“It was a hamstring tear, and a pretty serious one,” he said, declining to give the grade.

He was hurt scrambling in the red zone during the September 20 loss to the Vikings.

“I felt a pop,” he said. “You think somebody grabbed you, and nobody grabbed me.”

He has missed games since Week 2 but has now had consecutive full practices.

He must pass a stress test before being cleared for Sunday’s game against Atlanta.

A return against the Falcons would come more than a month after he last played.
