Billy Joel will auction more than 70 of his motorcycles because he is no longer allowed to drive.

The 77-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter it is due to normal pressure hydrocephalus.

The brain disorder, diagnosed in 2025, is caused by a buildup of cerebrospinal fluid.

Last month he had surgery to place a shunt in his brain to treat it.

“It’s just something that affects your balance mostly,” Joel said.

Doctors have also told him to stop performing, likening each show to a concussion.

He cancelled his 2025-2026 tour but says he would like to perform again.
