Saudi Arabia executed five of its own nationals on October 17 after terrorism convictions, the interior ministry said.
They were convicted of joining a foreign terrorist group and firing on security forces, facilities and vehicles.
Charges also included possessing weapons and helping finance terrorist operations.
The ministry did not name the foreign organisation the five men were accused of joining.
The executions took place in the Eastern Province, home to most of the kingdom’s Shia minority.
They bring Saudi Arabia’s 2026 execution total to 188, according to an AFP tally.
Fifteen people have been executed for terrorism this year, compared with 40 in all of 2025.
Amnesty says the kingdom executed at least 356 people in 2025, its highest recorded figure.
