The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned to Los Angeles on Sunday with a celebration of the changing seasons.
Angel-winged models walked in elaborate flower-petal, snowflake and gleaming metallic creations.
Executive creative director Adam Selman told Reuters he built the show around the four seasons, then added a second winter segment.
Some wings were made of layered petals, others of crystalline snowflake forms, and metallic looks came in the closing passages.
The brand cancelled the show in 2019 after ratings collapsed and it faced criticism over narrow beauty standards.
Its return has brought new casting, new creative leadership and an effort to show a wider range of bodies and backgrounds.
Executives have credited the revamped show with helping re-engage a younger audience as the brand’s results stabilised.
The show has historically rotated between New York, London, Paris and Shanghai, making Los Angeles a statement venue.
