Saudi Arabia has postponed its flagship Future Investment Initiative, known as Davos in the Desert, to 2027.
The conference was due to run 26 to 29 October in Riyadh, as the kingdom faces repeated Houthi attacks.
FII Institute CEO Maha Al Saud said organisers wanted the anniversary edition to deliver its “full scale.”
New dates will be announced soon, and current registrations and partnerships remain valid.
Speakers were expected to include Jamie Dimon, David Solomon, Stephen Schwarzman, Larry Fink and Jane Fraser.
Riyadh’s international airport suspended operations after a 10 October strike killed 13 people.
It was the deadliest attack on the kingdom in more than a decade. The Houthis have also struck Aramco facilities.
The FII statement did not mention the attacks. The delay is a blow to Saudi efforts to attract foreign capital.
