US stock futures rebounded Sunday night after last week’s AI-driven tech selloff, ahead of a crucial week of Big Tech earnings.
Nasdaq 100 futures rose about 1%, S&P 500 futures gained 0.6% and Dow futures were up roughly 160 points.
The bounce followed a 4.48% weekly drop in the Nasdaq Composite, as doubts grew over returns on huge AI spending.
More than 70 S&P 500 companies report this week. SpaceX and Netflix report Tuesday, October 20, after the close.
Meta, Tesla, Texas Instruments, Lam Research and IBM follow on Wednesday, with Western Digital reporting on Thursday.
Tesla faces questions over margins, while Meta must show its huge AI spending is turning into advertising and product gains.
The Fed is in its blackout before an October 28 decision, and hotter September inflation has raised rate-hike odds.
Asian markets fell Monday: Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped more than 2% and South Korea’s Kospi shed 1.6%.
