Tata Trusts is working towards a network of 40 to 50 not-for-profit general hospitals across India.
Chairman Noel Tata announced the plan in the Trusts’ 2025-26 annual report.
Patients who can afford care would help make quality treatment accessible to those who cannot.
The report did not give the investment, locations or timeline for the hospital network.
A 2026-2031 health strategy targets 25 lakh people across about 75 blocks and over 100 public facilities.
It also aims to reach 10 lakh elderly people and train more than 20,000 frontline health workers.
Tata Trusts disbursed Rs 1,556.31 crore in FY26, up from Rs 902 crore in FY25.
Noel Tata said philanthropy must show measurable change that can be sustained, not just money spent.
