Thunder guard Jalen Williams was taken off on a stretcher after hurting his left leg late in a 108-101 win over the Clippers on Oct. 25.
He was fouled on a drive with 1:14 left at Paycom Center and went down under the basket. Play stopped for about five minutes.
Clippers guard Kris Dunn was called for the foul, which was upgraded to a flagrant 1 after review.
The AP described a serious lower left leg injury. Other outlets gave slightly different accounts, and the team had not said which part was hurt.
As he was wheeled off, Williams gave the crowd two thumbs up while fans chanted "J-Dub."
"We're not doing great," coach Mark Daigneault said. He added that the team would be briefed on Williams on Monday morning.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 34 points, fought back tears: "He's not gone forever. He'll be back better than ever."
At the time of the article, the Thunder had not announced a diagnosis, whether surgery is needed or how long he will be out.
Williams has been an All-Star and an All-NBA player, and he was a big part of the Thunder team that won the 2025 NBA title.
He missed 49 games last season, mostly with hamstring problems, while also recovering from two wrist surgeries.
Cason Wallace (left shoulder) and Jaylin Williams (right wrist) also left in the first quarter and did not return.
The Thunder were scheduled to host the Phoenix Suns on Monday, Oct. 26.
