The NBA rescinded the technical foul assessed to Lakers star Luka Doncic late in the second quarter of Monday's 138-117 win over Miami.

The league announced the decision on Tuesday, 4 November. It cut his season total from two technical fouls to one.

The foul came with 1:12 left in the second quarter at Crypto.com Arena, after Doncic clapped toward referee Jacyn Goble.

Doncic scored 42 points with 13 assists in the win. The rescinded foul was his second technical in three games.

A player gets an automatic one-game suspension and a 5,000 dollar fine at 16 technical fouls in a season under NBA rules.

Through seven appearances this season, Doncic is averaging 38.3 points, 8.1 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Technical fouls also carry fines that rise as the count grows, so the rescinded call saved him money as well as keeping his tally lower.
