Manchester United are reportedly weighing a move for Real Betis striker Troy Parrott, the former Tottenham player.

Reports from Spanish outlet Fichero, relayed by the Daily Mirror, say United sent scouts to watch him in Spain.

Manager Michael Carrick is considering attacking reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window.

United did not sign a new centre-forward in the summer and want a No. 9 who can make an instant impact.

Parrott, 24, scored 31 goals with 12 assists in 48 games for AZ Alkmaar last season.

He scored 51 times in 97 games in the Netherlands after leaving Spurs in 2024 for £6.7 million.

Betis signed him this summer and tied him to a contract until 2031.

His release clause is €80 million, around £67.5 million, giving Betis a strong negotiating position.
