The Phoenix Suns and forward Oso Ighodaro agreed to a three-year, $29 million rookie extension on Sunday.

The deal came one day before Monday’s rookie-scale extension deadline, as first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The extension begins in 2028-29 and runs through the 2030-31 season.

Ighodaro is on a four-year, $7.8 million deal after Phoenix drafted him in the second round in 2024 out of Marquette.

The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds last season and played every game.

The 22-year-old Desert Vista High School graduate wanted to stay with his hometown team, reports said.

He is competing with Khaman Maluach to start at center while Mark Williams is out with a left shoulder injury.

Williams is expected to miss multiple months of the regular season.
