Meta has acquired Conductor, a startup that lets developers run several artificial intelligence coding agents at the same time.

The deal was announced on 4 November. Axios first reported it, and Meta confirmed the acquisition to TechCrunch without naming a price.

Conductor was founded in 2024 and launched its main product in July 2025. It gives each coding agent a separate workspace.

The agents come from firms such as Anthropic and OpenAI. Conductor organises them so one developer can oversee several streams of work.

Founder Charlie Holtz said Conductor is joining Meta and that he looks forward to working with Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang.

New sign-ups stopped on 4 November. The cloud service becomes read-only on 13 November and shuts down on 20 November, when cloud data deletion begins.

The local desktop app stays supported into early 2027, with new AI models and critical bug fixes. Holtz promised a new interface by early next year.

Meta launched its own coding agent, Muse Code, in August and has reported more than 10 million users for its Muse agents.
