OneQode has signed a deal with AdaniConneX for 14 MW of data centre capacity at Siruseri Sipcot in Chennai.

Announced on October 28, it is OneQode's first major AI infrastructure deployment in India.

The capacity will be used for AI training and inference, enterprise AI and sovereign AI work.

The two companies are still talking about more capacity in India, which OneQode says could reach up to 114 MW.

If that expansion happens, the company says it could bring in over $6 billion in GPU-as-a-service contract value.

That figure depends on capacity that has not been signed. It is not revenue from the 14 MW deal.

Johnny Blackfield, OneQode's chief growth officer, said India is becoming one of the world's most important markets for AI infrastructure.

He pointed to India's infrastructure, competitive operating costs and room to grow as reasons customers are interested.

The Chennai site is part of OneQode's expansion across Asia and the Pacific, which also includes a deployment in Thailand.

The company did not name customers or give a start date for operations at the site.
