Senior Republican lawmakers called Sunday for a congressional investigation into Starlink disruptions affecting Ukrainian forces.

Rep. Mike Turner and Sen. Kevin Cramer said Washington must establish who was responsible, including for Starshield services.

Their call came after Zelenskyy said services were not fully restored and suggested restrictions followed US government instructions.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said nobody ordered Starlink speeds slowed: “It sort of happened.”

“Absolutely not,” Turner said on Face the Nation when asked if Rubio’s explanation was enough.

Cramer backed an inquiry but said the disruption “may very well have been some sort of a technical glitch.”

Separately, nine senators led by Jeanne Shaheen and Thom Tillis asked the Pentagon inspector general to investigate.

They said disruptions from October 12 to 14 affected communications supporting Ukrainian drones and aircraft.

Their letter said Ukrainian testing found restrictions on terminals moving faster than about 63 miles per hour.

The senators also cited reports that US personnel struggled to reach shelters during Russian air raids.
