The United States GP is next on the Formula 1 calendar. The championship heads to the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, for the October 23-25 weekend, and Sky Sports F1 will show every session live, with the race itself starting at 8pm UK time on Sunday, October 25.
United States GP dates and UK start times
The United States GP weekend runs from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25. There is no Sprint on this year's Austin timetable, which means teams get the full three practice sessions to dial in their cars before qualifying. Friday hosts the first two practice sessions, Saturday adds the third session before qualifying, and Sunday is race day.
For UK viewers of the United States GP, the key times are all in the evening. Practice One starts at 6.30pm on Friday, Practice Two at 10pm on Friday, Practice Three at 6.30pm on Saturday, qualifying at 10pm on Saturday, and the Grand Prix itself at 8pm on Sunday. Note that UK clocks go back in the early hours of Sunday morning, so times are quoted in British Summer Time for Friday and Saturday.

United States GP weather watch and title picture
The United States GP at Austin could be decided as much by the skies as by the stopwatch. Temperatures are expected to climb above 30 degrees Celsius on all three days of track action, but the wild card is rain: the latest forecast suggests a 50 per cent chance of showers during the race, with rain also possible on Friday and Saturday.
The Circuit of the Americas has hosted the United States Grand Prix since 2012 and remains one of the drivers' favourite layouts. Its signature is the steep uphill run to the first corner, the scene of countless overtakes over the years, followed by an Esses section through Turns Three to Six inspired by Silverstone's Maggotts and Becketts complex, a reverse triple-apex challenge in the style of Istanbul Park's Turn Eight, and a Hockenheim-style arena section.
The championship picture adds intrigue to the United States GP weekend. The title fight is currently led by the two Mercedes drivers, with Kimi Antonelli heading George Russell by 302 points to 236 in the standings, although several rivals remain mathematically involved with the season entering its decisive phase.
