China has pledged to further promote cooperation and exchanges between political parties in Africa, according to a statement released at the opening ceremony of the 14th seminar on governance for senior African political parties in Beijing.
The seminar, organized by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, gathered representatives from 30 political parties from 23 African countries to discuss governance, development, and poverty reduction.
During the opening ceremony, Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan delivered a keynote speech highlighting the importance of political parties in promoting national development and improving people’s livelihoods.
Wang emphasized that political parties play a crucial role in governance and should prioritize the well-being of the people. He also stressed the importance of mutual respect, equality, and seeking common ground while shelving differences in international relations.
