Olivia Rodrigo releases her first Christmas song on Thursday, 5 November, a single called take me home (4 christmas).

It comes out at 5 p.m. Pacific through Interscope. She wrote it with Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, and Nigro produced it.

The music video stars Cynthia Nixon and Ben Marshall of Please Don't Destroy, and premieres at the same time as the single.

Rodrigo announced the song on Instagram on 2 November, posting artwork that shows her in a Santa hat with red lipstick.

A seven-inch vinyl and cassette are on preorder. The vinyl also goes on sale at Target from Friday, 6 November, with B-side Miss This Christmas.

Her third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in June with 485,000 first-week units.

An October remix of expectations with Chappell Roan jumped to No. 3 on the Hot 100 and sent the album back to No. 1.

This is her first original Christmas track. No larger holiday project has been announced beyond the single and video.
