Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, was released by a Delhi court a day after his detention.
Police detained him on Friday as he tried to lead a rally demanding the chief election commissioner’s resignation.
Protesters say more than 130 million voters were deleted in a revision of voter lists.
The Election Commission denies favouring any party and says wrongly deleted voters can re-enrol.
Dipke was freed after signing a peace bond, reported by NDTV as 50,000 rupees.
Student activist Neha Bora, also detained on Friday, was released on Saturday too.
The movement began as online satire in June after the chief justice likened the unemployed to cockroaches.
Two party leaders remain in judicial custody, and student groups have called for more protests.
