Obsession Hindi OTT premiere is set for 30 October 2026 at 7 pm on JioHotstar. The horror thriller will stream through the Peacock Hub on JioHotstar in Hindi and in English. Both versions are the original uncut versions of the film, according to reports from Cinema Express and Bombay Times on 27 October 2026.
Obsession Hindi OTT casting gives the Hindi version two familiar voices. Varun Dhawan voices Bear, the young man at the centre of the story. Kriti Sanon voices Nikki, the woman he wishes for. The two actors are making their dubbing debut together for this film, as reported by Bombay Times.
The original version stars Michael Johnston as Bear and Inde Navarrette as Nikki. Johnston and Navarrette carry the theatrical version, which is also available on the platform in English. Viewers in India will be able to choose between the Hindi version with Dhawan and Sanon and the original English version.
The Hindi version was put together with filmmaker Amar Kaushik, who directed Dhawan and Sanon in the 2022 horror comedy Bhediya. JioHotstar announced the Hindi voices with a video in which Dhawan and Sanon can be heard as Bear and Nikki. The announcement came on Thursday, ahead of the 30 October premiere.
Obsession Hindi OTT story
Obsession Hindi OTT story follows a young man who uses a novelty toy called One Wish Willow to make his crush fall for him. Bear wishes for Nikki, who is played in the original by Inde Navarrette, to become his. What starts as one sided love turns obsessive, and the wish brings danger for both of them.
The film treats the wish as a warning about trying to control another person. Bear gets what he asked for, but Nikki’s attachment grows intense and hard to control. The story follows the fallout for both characters as the wish changes their lives in ways Bear did not expect.
Cinema Express describes the film as a cautionary narrative about male privilege, moral integrity and vulnerability in relationships. The report says the film looks at the fallout of imposing affection on another person. That theme is central to the horror, which grows from a wish rather than from a monster.
Obsession Hindi OTT voices
Obsession Hindi OTT voices are the main talking point of the streaming release. Kriti Sanon said she loved the film and its performances, and called the story gripping, quirky and twisted. She said she had never explored a character this edgy before, and that this is the first time she has lent her voice to another actor’s performance.
Sanon said she had a lot of fun voicing the film, and that she could not have asked for a more exciting film for that debut. Her comments were reported by Filmfare on 27 October 2026. The report also notes that Sanon and Dhawan previously worked together in Dilwale and in Bhediya.
Dhawan said working on the Hindi version gave him a chance to see the story from a different angle. He said he noticed small details in the performances and in the storytelling that he might have missed on a first watch. He said he is excited for audiences to experience the film in Hindi.
JioHotstar, in its announcement caption, wrote that Dhawan and Sanon are lending their voices to Bear and Nikki in Hindi, with Amar Kaushik bringing it together. The caption added that the platform is, in its words, a little obsessed with how the Hindi version has turned out.
Obsession Hindi OTT box office record
Obsession Hindi OTT release follows a large theatrical run. The film grossed over $500 million at the global box office, according to Cinema Express and Bombay Times. That total places it among the top ten highest grossing horror films, as reported by both outlets.
The scale of the theatrical total is unusual for a horror film. Cinema Express notes that the commercial success has made it one of the most profitable entries the genre has seen. The streaming release now brings that film to Indian viewers in two languages at the same time.
Obsession Hindi OTT premiere time is 7 pm on 30 October 2026. The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar is the home for the film in India. Both the Hindi version and the original English version will be available from that time, in uncut form.
For viewers who missed the theatrical run, the Obsession Hindi OTT premiere is the first chance to watch the film in India in Hindi. For viewers who saw it in English, the Hindi version offers the same story with Dhawan and Sanon as the voices of Bear and Nikki.
