Diljit Dosanjh will open the India leg of his Aura India Tour 2026 with a concert in Delhi on October 30. The show is scheduled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, and it follows a visit by the singer to the Taj Mahal in Agra ahead of the performance. Filmfare reported on October 27 that Diljit shared glimpses of the Taj Mahal trip on social media, wearing a grey T-shirt, a red jacket and his white turban, and waving at people around him.

The Delhi concert had faced a period of uncertainty before permission was confirmed. Delhi Police initially denied permission for the October 30 event, Filmfare reported, citing specific threat related inputs, security concerns and law and order commitments linked to the festive season. In its communication to ticketing platform BookMyShow, the police set out those concerns. Reports also linked the concerns to a hoax bomb threat email sent to several Delhi schools earlier in October, which reportedly mentioned the concert.

Diljit Delhi concert permission confirmed

The organisers later met Delhi Police officials and submitted a detailed plan covering security, traffic and crowd management. After that meeting, the situation was resolved and the police granted permission for the concert. BookMyShow issued a statement clarifying that the event had not been cancelled, and added that the organisers had assured the police of full compliance with the required security and traffic measures. The concert will go ahead as scheduled on October 30.

Zoom TV reported on October 23 that Delhi Police had formally granted approval after the organisers submitted enhanced security and traffic management plans. The organisers said permission had been temporarily withheld while additional safety measures were finalised, rather than the show being cancelled. That distinction mattered for ticket holders, who had faced speculation about whether the Delhi date would survive. With approval in place, the focus moved back to the performance itself and the tour dates that follow it.

Diljit wrote “WAH TAJ BOLIYE” with an India flag and the words “wondersoftheworld AURA INDIA TOUR 2026” when he shared the Taj Mahal video. The post, reported by Filmfare, placed the Agra visit in the run up to the Delhi opener. Diljit was accompanied by a tight security detail during the outing, and the video showed him taking in the monument and exploring the premises. The visit gave fans a short preview of his time in India before the tour leg begins.

Diljit Aura India Tour dates after Delhi

After Delhi, Diljit takes the Aura India Tour to several other cities across the country. Filmfare listed the next concert for November 15 in Indore, followed by Ahmedabad on November 21. Diljit will perform in Mumbai on November 27 and Bengaluru on November 29, before heading to Lucknow on December 5. Zoom TV listed seven major Indian cities on the tour, including Chandigarh alongside Delhi, Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Lucknow.

The Delhi show carries added weight because it opens the India leg. An opening night sets the tone for the dates that follow, and the permission process meant that planning for the show drew more attention than a routine tour date. Security, traffic and crowd management plans were examined in detail before approval, and the organisers had to show how they would handle a large audience during a busy festive period in the capital.

Diljit is a Punjabi singer and actor with a large concert audience in India and abroad. His tours draw fans across languages and age groups, and the Aura India Tour is his current large scale run in the country. The Delhi concert is the first India date on this leg, and it will be followed by the Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Lucknow shows listed by Filmfare. Each date will test the same security and crowd planning that was required in Delhi.

For ticket holders in Delhi, the confirmed permission ends the uncertainty that surrounded the show in the days before October 30. BookMyShow has said the event was not cancelled, and the police approval allows the organisers to proceed with the plans they submitted. The show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is now the opening concert of the India leg, with the Taj Mahal visit serving as a brief stop on the way to the stage.
