Zach Bryan is giving fans new music sooner than expected. The country star has announced Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, an eight-song EP arriving Friday, October 16, via Warner Records. The project includes Lies, a duet with Lana Del Rey that fans have been anticipating for months, and Plainsman, a collaboration with fellow Oklahomans Turnpike Troubadours. Zach Bryan revealed the tracklist on Instagram, telling followers the collection is everywhere this Friday and thanking them for a great year on the road.

Zach Bryan announced the EP on October 12, sharing its title, cover art and full tracklist after teasing new material throughout the summer. It marks his first release since January’s With Heaven On Top, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with a stripped-down acoustic companion following three days later.

The eight tracks are Lodi When, Robot Killed The Working Man, Lies featuring Lana Del Rey, Dog Days, Backwards, Is The Blue Tangled in You?, Plainsman featuring Turnpike Troubadours and You’ll Get By. Several songs, including Robot Killed The Working Man and Backwards, were previewed during Bryan’s recent live run, while the two collaborations give the compact set its headline moments.

Del Rey first teased the collaboration in September, sharing photos and video from a recording session in Massachusetts. Her caption hinted at the song’s title: “Whale, we finally got our song done. And that’s no Lie.” It remains unclear whether Lies is the same song the pair previewed earlier this year, so the teaser and the newly announced track should be considered separately until the connection is confirmed.

Del Rey’s path to the EP also reflects a busy stretch for the singer, whose surprise recording-session post in September sent fans hunting for clues. The Massachusetts session where the pair finished the song became one of the most dissected music stories of the fall, with listeners parsing every frame for hints about the finished record.

Turnpike Troubadours bring a different kind of weight to the collection. The Oklahoma band has long shared stages and sensibilities with Bryan, and Plainsman gives the EP a full-band counterpoint to its quieter originals. The eight-song format also mirrors Bryan’s habit of releasing music in bursts rather than saving everything for a traditional album cycle.

The release continues a rapid cadence that has kept Bryan in the headlines all year. With Heaven On Top arrived in January and topped the Billboard 200, and the eight-song EP now extends that momentum into the fall with two collaborations that cross genre lines.

Zach Bryan and Lana Del Rey’s Lies Arrives Oct. 16

The duet is the EP’s most anticipated moment. Bryan and Del Rey have been circling a collaboration for months, and the release finally gives fans their first official opportunity to hear the two voices together on a finished record.

For Zach Bryan, the EP lands at a career peak. His October 3 concert at Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium drew 73,538 fans, setting an attendance record for the venue. He recently wrapped his With Heaven On Tour run with a show in Auburn, Alabama, and across his catalog he has accumulated 66 gold certifications and 34 platinum or multi-platinum certifications.

Zach Bryan’s Record-Breaking Stadium Run

The EP’s playful title fits an artist who often explores the distance between the person he hopes to become and the person he actually is, a theme that has run through Zach Bryan’s songwriting for years. The eight songs bring together live favorites and new originals rather than waiting for another conventional album cycle.

Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs is available to pre-order through Warner Records, with the full tracklist already circulating among fans who caught the songs on the road.

Del Rey’s presence on Lies also marks one of the year’s most talked-about cross-genre pairings, bringing the singer’s cinematic pop sensibility into Bryan’s stripped-back country world. Turnpike Troubadours, meanwhile, connect the EP to Bryan’s Oklahoma roots on Plainsman.

What Zach Bryan’s New EP Means for Fans

With the EP arriving Friday, Zach Bryan gives listeners a bridge between his stadium shows and his next full-length chapter, and a long-awaited duet that finally has a name, a home and a release date.
