Fortnite players got a new season on 1 November 2026, when Epic Games replaced Chapter 7 Season 4, Override, with a short pirate season called Treasure Hunters. The change arrived with update v43.00, and it brought characters from One Piece into the game for the first time. Epic Games confirmed the date in a teaser on 24 October, then published a fuller roadmap on 30 October. The season closes Chapter 7, and Epic Games has set a Chapter 7 end event for Saturday 5 December.

Servers went down at 1 AM Eastern Time on 1 November, which was 5 AM in coordinated universal time and 10 PM Pacific Time on 31 October. Past season launches point to a wait of about five hours. The Fortnite Status account on X was the place Epic Games used for updates while servers were offline.

The first Captain’s Day was set for 9 AM Eastern Time on 1 November, so new weapons and other content were due within hours of the servers returning. Epic Games has said the Fortnite mini-season will run for about five weeks, which is close to the length of the Simpsons mini-season that ran from 1 November to 29 November 2025. There was no live season-ending event before Treasure Hunters. Epic Games used a treasure chest on the island as a teaser instead, and that chest played music tied to the crews joining the season.

Fortnite Crossbones Isle and rival pirate crews

Fortnite Treasure Hunters takes place on Crossbones Isle, a new island built for 80 players. That is 20 fewer than the usual 100-player match, and it changes how crowded the early minutes of a match feel. The island is run by rival pirate crews, and a new captain arrives each week with a crew and a location to control. The Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece and the rapper A$AP Rocky lead the first wave of captains. Lil Uzi Vert, Cap’n Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto are due later in November.

One Piece locations on the island include Arlong Park and Windmill Village, two places fans of the series will know well. A$AP Rocky’s battleship, the S.S. Rocky, is a separate location, and players can challenge him there for his Shock Rocket weapon. Cannons can launch players across the island, which gives teams a fast way to move between locations. Epic Games has also hidden a mega chest belonging to a character called Captain X somewhere on Crossbones Isle, and it has not said what is inside.

Fortnite One Piece skins and Battle Pass

The Fortnite Battle Pass includes Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin, two One Piece characters. They are joined in the pass art by Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, Charlotte and Captain X, although Epic Games has not listed every pass reward in detail. Monkey D. Luffy, Nami and Usopp arrived in the Item Shop at the season launch on 1 November, rather than in the Battle Pass. That split matters for players who were hoping to unlock Luffy by playing through the pass, because he has to be bought separately.

More One Piece outfits follow in waves through November. Roronoa Zoro, Sanji and a Chopper Sidekick are set for 7 November, and Buggy is listed for 13 November. A Sidekick is a companion cosmetic that follows a player around, rather than a full outfit. Epic Games has not announced prices for the new outfits, and those prices only become clear when each set appears in the Item Shop. Players should check the shop on the day, rather than rely on prices from earlier collaborations.

Fortnite weapons, Captain Days and season end

One Piece powers are part of the Fortnite loot pool. Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit and Ace’s Flame-Flame Fruit give players Devil Fruit abilities, while Zoro’s Three Sword Style and Usopp’s Slingshot add close combat and ranged options. Luffy’s Gum-Gum Pistol and Gum-Gum Rocket attacks also appear in trailer footage. A$AP Rocky’s Shock Rocket fires rockets from above, which suits players who like to attack from high ground. Epic Games plans to add more weapons on each Captain’s Day, so the loot pool will not stay fixed.

Fortnite Captain’s Days are set for 1, 7, 12, 14 and 21 November. Each one brings new weapons, Sprites and map changes to Crossbones Isle. Two weekly events run through the season as well. Mastery Mondays give players a captain’s weapon at the start of every match, and Treasure Hours Sundays bring boosted drops across the island. Sprites stay in the game for this season, with new Sprites arriving on Captain’s Days, although Epic Games has said Sprites will be removed when Chapter 8 arrives.
