Jailer 2 worldwide and India totals after 20 days
The day 20 numbers show a film past its peak but still adding steady business. Daily India net earnings slipped 1.5 percent from Rs 3.40 crore on the previous day to Rs 3.35 crore on day 20. Across all languages, the film recorded an average collection of Rs 4,161 per show on the day.
Jailer 2 opened strongly, collecting Rs 334.35 crore net and Rs 391.55 crore gross in India during its first eight days. Its second week added another Rs 95.55 crore in India net collections, a fall of 71.4 percent from the opening period. During days 16 to 20, the film added Rs 33.15 crore net to its domestic total.
The third weekend gave the run some relief. Jailer 2 generated Rs 30.70 crore in India gross collections between Friday and Sunday. Daily gross earnings rose from Rs 6.40 crore on Friday to Rs 11.30 crore on Saturday and Rs 13 crore on Sunday, a recovery of 103.1 percent between Friday and Sunday.
Jailer 2 nears The Greatest of All Time in Tamil Nadu
The most watched record in the film’s run is now in Tamil Nadu. Jailer 2 has collected Rs 210.45 crore gross in the state after 18 days. It needs another Rs 6.80 crore to overtake Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time, known as The GOAT, in Tamil Nadu gross.
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor on day 20, earning Rs 1.93 crore from 3,624 shows. The Hindi version collected Rs 80 lakh through 3,420 shows, while the Telugu and Kannada versions added Rs 45 lakh and Rs 17 lakh respectively. The gap between versions shows where the film’s core audience sits, with Tamil Nadu still driving the run.
Whether Jailer 2 passes The GOAT in Tamil Nadu will depend on how many shows it keeps through the Diwali weekend. New releases arrive on 5 and 6 November, and screen space will tighten. The film needs less than Rs 7 crore more in the state, a figure within reach if it holds a reasonable show count for another week.
Jailer 2 occupancy and language split on day 20
The Tamil 2D version registered 14.62 percent overall occupancy on day 20. Morning shows recorded 12.38 percent, while afternoon and evening screenings registered 14.92 percent and 14.85 percent respectively. Night shows performed best at 16.31 percent.

The corresponding figures for Telugu were 11.80 percent, 14.20 percent, 16.70 percent and 17.70 percent.
The figures are approximate, compiled from public and industry sources, and may change as official studio data is updated. On the current totals, Jailer 2 is one of the highest grossing Tamil films of the year, with the Tamil Nadu record against The GOAT the next mark in its sights.
