Karur Vysya Bank Q2: management commentary
Managing director and chief executive Ramesh Babu B said the bank’s key performance indicators were broadly in line with earlier guidance, describing the Karur Vysya Bank Q2 showing as reflecting the continued strength and resilience of its operating performance since the year’s outset. He said growth had been balanced and broad-based across the bank’s three priorities of growth, profitability and asset quality, and added that the focus remained on prudent, calibrated growth, operational efficiency, customer centricity and disciplined risk management.
With record quarterly profits, expanding margins, sub-1 per cent NPAs and a well-capitalised balance sheet, Karur Vysya Bank heads into the second half of FY27 with considerable momentum. Investors will watch whether the lender can sustain its 20 per cent-plus advances growth while protecting asset quality as it deepens its franchise in key growth markets. Gross slippages eased during the quarter, and the standard restructured book fell to 0.33 per cent of loans. The stock will remain in focus as analysts digest the numbers and the bank’s guidance for the remainder of the fiscal.
