Ramayana advance booking has crossed Rs 5.33 crore with just 14 days to go before the film’s November 5 release, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-starrer sold 1.28 lakh tickets across 3,710 shows by 3 pm on Wednesday, October 21, excluding block seats. Advance bookings for the film opened on Tuesday, October 20, coinciding with Dussehra, and the early numbers have given the two-part mythological epic a strong start at the window.

The sales have kept rising through the day. Sacnilk reported that another Rs 21.71 lakh was added to the Ramayana advance booking total after the 6 am cut-off on Wednesday. Overall occupancy is around 15 per cent, with the Hindi version accounting for the bulk of the early business. The dubbed Kannada and Telugu versions have also begun drawing audiences, adding to the film’s pan-India reach.

Ramayana advance booking opens strong in Delhi NCR and Mumbai

Delhi-NCR is currently the biggest market for the film, contributing Rs 1.82 crore, or around 34 per cent of the Ramayana advance booking gross. Mumbai follows with Rs 1.07 crore, accounting for nearly 20 per cent of the collection. Pune has recorded Rs 35.31 lakh in advance sales, while Hyderabad has contributed Rs 32.22 lakh and Bengaluru Rs 31.45 lakh.

State-wise figures show Maharashtra at the top with Rs 1.72 crore, followed by Delhi at Rs 1.40 crore and Gujarat at Rs 46.54 lakh. The metro-heavy spread of early sales suggests that the film’s premium formats are doing much of the early work. The early skew toward Delhi-NCR and Mumbai follows a familiar pattern for large Hindi releases, where metro multiplexes open bookings first and drive the initial wave. With the Hindi version accounting for the bulk of the early business, single-screen business in smaller centres is expected to pick up closer to the release date.

Ramayana advance booking by region and language version

The dubbed versions are also attracting early interest. The Kannada version has collected Rs 19.03 lakh from 69 shows, with Yash playing Ravana likely to be a major attraction for audiences in Karnataka. The Telugu version has earned Rs 17.41 lakh from 34 shows. Multilingual releases have increasingly relied on dubbed versions to widen the first-weekend audience. The early pickup in Kannada and Telugu shows, two weeks out, points to interest beyond the Hindi belt from the start of the advance window.

Some premium screenings are commanding high ticket prices. In Mumbai, IMAX recliner seats are priced at up to Rs 2,770. The combination of large-format screens and a mythological story appears to be pulling viewers who plan their opening-weekend outings early.

Ramayana advance booking ahead of the November 5 release

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend brings the story of the ancient Indian epic to the big screen on a grand scale. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi stars as Sita, and Yash portrays Ravana. The cast also features Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana.

The Ramayana advance booking numbers arrive well before the first reviews or public word of mouth. The film is planned as a two-part saga. The first instalment arrives in theatres on November 5, 2026, while the second part is expected to release in 2027.

Behind the camera, Academy Award-winning visual effects company DNEG is handling the VFX, while the music is composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra. With two weeks still left before release, the Ramayana advance booking tally has room to grow.

With the Hindi version leading and the dubbed versions gaining, the film enters the final fortnight with advance sales spread across formats, regions and languages. Trade observers will now watch whether the daily pace holds through the final two weeks. Opening-weekend capacity is expected to expand as exhibitors add screens in response to early demand, particularly in the metros where the initial sales are concentrated.
