Pokito, the new collaboration between Diljit Dosanjh and Daddy Yankee, is trending on YouTube India after its release on 30 October 2026. Riivla’s India trending chart lists Pokito with 6.1 million views on chart since 30 October, and the tracker showed the video gaining more than 261,000 views per hour. The song is the lead single from Daddy Yankee’s new album, LA POSTAL.

Pokito pairs Punjabi verses from Diljit Dosanjh with Spanish verses from Daddy Yankee, the Puerto Rican reggaeton star. Mirchi reported on 30 October that the bilingual track brings together two distinct musical styles, with Diljit delivering Punjabi lines and Daddy Yankee adding his Spanish flow. The recurring phrase “Poquito a poquito”, which translates to “little by little”, is the song’s central hook and connects the two languages.

Pokito video, director and Puerto Rico shoot

The music video was directed by Stillz and shot in Puerto Rico, according to antiMusic and Just Jared. Diljit appears in the video in his turban, in looks ranging from a denim jacket to a traditional white outfit. Daddy Yankee appears in baseball jerseys, leather jackets and dark sunglasses. Inshorts reported that the video moves through colourful settings including a baseball stadium and a convenience store, drawing on the visual identities of both artists.

Daddy Yankee spoke about the recording in comments carried by The Music Universe. He said he had always believed Punjabi music and reggaeton would make for a great marriage, and that Diljit came to Puerto Rico and they recorded the song face to face. He called that part of the session truly special. The video arrived alongside the song on 30 October, the same day LA POSTAL was released.

Pokito on the LA POSTAL album

The song is the seventh track on LA POSTAL, Daddy Yankee’s 15-track album, which was released on Friday, 30 October 2026. The album explores different forms of love, including romance, family, self-love and the artist’s love of Latin music, according to Just Jared. Its collaborators include Cardi B, Myke Towers and Danny Ocean, along with Diljit Dosanjh. Pokito follows “BOTZ”, the first track unveiled from the album.

The album is Daddy Yankee’s first proper concept album, according to The Music Universe, which reported that he threaded the theme of love through all 15 tracks. The title translates to “Postcard”, and the songs are framed as letters of love. The track sits within that frame as the album’s cross-border collaboration, joining Afro, Caribbean and Punjabi sounds with Daddy Yankee’s reggaeton style.

Pokito and Diljit Dosanjh’s run of collaborations

Pokito adds another international name to Diljit Dosanjh’s list of collaborators. Mirchi noted his earlier team-ups, including “Buck” with Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang, “Hass Hass” with Sia, “Senorita” with Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin, “Khutti” with Saweetie and “Muhammad Ali” with NLE Choppa. The Daddy Yankee pairing extends that run into a full Punjabi-Spanish track rather than a guest verse.

For Daddy Yankee, the track continues a career built on carrying reggaeton to audiences beyond Latin music. The Music Universe described him as the artist who cemented his standing as the king of reggaeton, and Pokito puts that style beside Punjabi vocals on a single record. The song’s chart position in India, where it sits among the day’s trending videos, shows the pairing reaching listeners in Diljit’s home market as well as Daddy Yankee’s.

The collaboration also reflects how Punjabi artists have worked with Latin stars before, with Diljit’s earlier “Senorita” alongside J Balvin cited by Mirchi as part of the same pattern. For listeners, the appeal lies in hearing two languages trade verses over a reggaeton beat, with the hook repeating in Spanish while Diljit’s lines carry the Punjabi melody. Streaming platforms listed the album on 30 October, and the video’s climb on the India chart followed within a day of release. The chart movement was recorded by Riivla, which tracks YouTube trending videos in India each day. The video remains available on the platform for viewers to watch in full.

Riivla’s India chart lists Pokito with 6.1 million views on chart since 30 October 2026.
